Discovery of Volcanism and Madeira Wine Center - Private Tour - Full Day

After meeting your private guide at your accommodation, you will be led to the discovery of some of the ex-libris of the island of Madeira.

The first stop of the day will be the Madeira Wine Cellars, where we will learn about the history of this acclaimed and awarded wine with an intense and unmistakable flavor. You will discover the old cooperage, the aging warehouse and the satin vat warehouse, ending this visit with a wine tasting.

We will head towards the west of the island, crossing one of the largest wine-growing municipalities on the island, Câmara de Lobos, where we will be able to appreciate the landscape and the vineyards of this beautiful region, always continuing in a rural environment and in full nature, passing through Jardim da Serra and Campanário until we reach the north coast of the island and São Vicente.

It is here that we will visit the famous Volcanism Centre, where we will discover the history and troubled origins of the Madeira archipelago and the its geological evolution.

We will go up to a traditional farm that produces table wines, where we will have a guided tour to the vineyards and we will know all the details about grape production, the grape varieties used, the treatments with unique characteristics and the whole process that goes into producing this Madeiran table wine, in a dazzling and enchanting landscape.

After visiting and tasting this wine with the unique and characteristic flavors of the soils of volcanic origin, will be followed by a tasty homemade lunch with very regional flavors, made the old-fashioned way and with local products, harmonized with the region's wines produced on the farm.

On our way back to Funchal, we'll pass through incredible small towns that intersect the green landscape, where we'll enjoy breathtaking views.
