The palace was built in 1885 for the last Kings of Portugal, and is located two hours from Lisbon, and one from Porto, inside the Mata Nacional do Bussaco, botanical and natural ex-libris of Portugal . Hotel near Coimbra.

The Palace Hotel do Bussaco is an excellent example of Manueline-Gothic architecture. Its richly decorated corridors feature antique furniture, large paintings and traditional Portuguese glazed tiles.
